In the presence of tough competition and constant technological advancement, the APM marketing team is playing a leading role in meeting the challenge of operating successfully in the world market of pharmaceutical industries.
APM launched its products in 1966 in local and export markets, rivaling the international drug companies which had been operating in the area for many years.
During the first year of production, APM was able to take a $80,000 market share due to its determination to compete and succeed, and by 1999, sales reached $43 million, 71 percent of which were achieved in export markets.
Highly creative and consumer oriented, APM marketing people are committed to increasing the market share of existing products while simultaneously introducing new products both in Jordan and in APM export markets throughout more than 25 countries worldwide, spanning from South East Asia to the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa.

 

 


Furthermore, APM works to facilitate the transfer of technological expertise to Jordan by bringing Jordanian physicians and pharmacists together with experts from abroad through organized seminars and conferences, which ultimately serve to broaden the horizons of the health care industry in the country.
Marketing is made effective at APM through the cooperative efforts of a global network of country and regional offices, whereby regional business units act as independent entities, attuned to the needs of their own regions and interacting continuously with the development taking place at APM.
Today, APM works under licensing agreements with a number of multinational companies including Takeda Chemical Industries Ltd./Japan. Appreciative of the new opportunities that Jordan enjoys as a hub within the Middle East region, our marketing team is always on the look-out for new product-licensing agreements.

Training:

APM employees are trained to best meet their responsibilities. Beginning with orientation upon appointment, each company staff member receives "for the job" and "on the job" training which is complemented by regular annual programs to update and reinforce employee expertise. Technicians and staff are also trained on a procedure or skill-specific basis. These training programs are in turn evaluated, incorporating trainee feedback and improved upon or modified as seen suitable.


External consultancy services are combined with in-house monitoring activities at APM to guarantee a sound and balanced system of company and individual performance evaluation.
Since its establishment, APM has been committed to serving the health care community in Jordan, for the company has become the favored host of university students, who are sent by their respective higher education establishments to receive both theoretical and practical training at APM laboratories and plants.
